General Training Information

Candidates for the psychoanalytic training programs are automatically afforded membership in NOBPC and are eligible for Affiliate Membership in the American Psychoanalytic Association (APsaA). Upon graduation Affiliate Members become Active Members at the following meeting of the APsaA.

The New Orleans-Birmingham Psychoanalytic Center is an accredited Center of the American Psychoanalytic Association (APsaA). Psychoanalytic graduates of NOBPC are eligible to apply to the American Psychoanalytic Association (APsaA) for certification in psychoanalysis.

 

Governance and Policy-Making

NOBPC’s educational functions are directed by the Psychoanalytic Education Committee (PEC), which is appointed by the Board of Directors.

 

Educational Program General Policies

Each candidate makes his/her own arrangements for training analysis with a training analyst from the faculty.

All records are the property of NOBPC. No information from NOBPC files may be divulged without the express permission of the Psychoanalytic Education Committee and the Board of Directors.
